Tracking effectiveness of box breathing on morning wakefulness

I recently became aware of some claims around the effectiveness of box/square breathing for morning wakefulness. I struggle with wakefulness in the morning and am looking to track the effect box breathing has (if any). I’ll document my progress in this thread.

I hadn’t heard of box breathing before and had to look it up!

How do you measure wakefulness? Is the idea that the breathing routine might have an effect on wakefulness say… an hour later?
